Our Perianesthesia nursing staff provides quality and compassionate care for patients before and after same-day surgery/procedure as well as surgeries that occur before and during admission to the hospital. We provide emotional & educational support with preoperative phone calls, during their stay with us and post-operative follow-up phone calls. Our team of nurses and techs/nursing assistants work closely with multiple disciplines to provide a patient and family centered experience. About Fairview Ridges: At Ridges Hospital we perform approximately 8,000 surgical cases per year in our 12 OR rooms using the latest in technology. Perianesthesia supports 12 PACU bays and 18 Pre/post op Bays. OR specialty areas including: Spine, Ortho, OB-GYN, General, ENT, and Urology. Proactive pre-admitting department that prepares Pediatrics-Adult patients in advance of their visit and collaborates closely with Anesthesia. Child Life is available on site to work with pediatric patient. Procedures range from out-patient to surgical admissions, and include pediatric to geriatric patient population Schedule: This Perianesthesia nursing position will be working 56 hours every two weeks on the rotating day/evenings, 8 hour shifts(start times are staggered between 5:30am and the last 8 hour shift start time is 2:00 pm). Schedule requires call shifts during the week (1 night/month), weekend call (every 4th weekend) and holiday call rotation. 30 minute call in time.
