$10,000.00 Sign On Bonus w/2+ Years' Experience!!! This i s a 12 bed Cardiac Intensive Critical Care. TMC has the busiest heart program in southern Arizona that recovers generally 2-4 open hearts five days per week (CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, TAVR). Our patient population consists of open hearts, TAVR’s, thoracotomies, MI's, IABP, Impella, CRRT, swans, sepsis, post codes, unstable heart blocks, unstable cardiac patients, post pacemakers, post lead extractions, heart failure, patients requiring vasopressors, intubated patients, vascular surgeries and EKOS. All staff is CPR and ACLS certified. Other certifications include FCCS, CCRN, CSC and CMC. Summary Coordinates patient care planning with other disciplines utilizing the principles of the nursing process and critical thinking skills in order to maintain patient safety and well-being. (Some positions might be assigned to critical care areas requiring specialized training.) Essential Functions Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure safe patient care. Writes or obtains initial nursing histories, assesses patients' conditions and develops individual care plans; maintains patient documentation. Receives and reviews preceding shift reports and floor nurse reports; makes complete rounds of all units, and notes patients' condition. Notifies appropriate physician regarding any unusual or unexpected events or problems requiring direct physician consultation. Works with other members of the interdisciplinary patient care team, implements and reinforces patient instructional needs with patient and family offering informational material and pointing out special areas of concern. May perform the administration of pharmacological vasodilator medications for the purpose of nuclear myocardial perfusion imaging; complies with examination competency as defined in the Imaging Services Practice Standards. Complies with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards and takes corrective action when violations occur. Orients, instructs, and educates assigned personnel. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree preferred. EXPERIENCE : One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred. Certified or registered as a CMA or RMA by one of the following National Organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification issued by the National Health Career Association (NHA), RMA certification issued by the American Medical Technologists (AMT), Medical Assistant (NCMA) certification issued by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). Experience Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday. Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other team member, when available. The Medical Assistant/PSR is a unique position that varies daily based on the clinical or clerical staffing needs of the practice. Duties include supporting the physicians and/or mid-level providers in the practice with clinical activities and direct patient care as well as assisting patients and staff with the administrative and clerical needs of the practice. Roles and Responsibilities: Perform clinical duties, including taking vital signs and assisting with procedures, in accordance with NYS laws and practice protocols. Check in patients, verify/update demographics, and obtain necessary signatures and insurance information. Collect payments, handle daily cash out, and prepare bank deposits. Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and manage pre-authorizations. Provide call management, including triaging phone calls, prescription refills, and test results. Participate in team meetings, quality improvement activities, and handle patient communication through various channels.
