OVERVIEW Provides hands-on patient care and support, including taking vital signs, monitoring blood glucose, bladder scanning, telemetry, and assisting with catheters, drains, and other medical devices under RN supervision. Responds to patient needs, documents care, maintains supplies and a clean environment, floats between units as needed, and helps train new team members. This involves the patient in their care and allows the team members to collaborate with the patient to give them the best possible care and appropriate discharge to home or other facilities.
