As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will: Welcome patients and support their transition into care. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings. About This Location: Our main location is in the Medical Office Center at 17850 S Kedzie Ave., Suite 3100, in Hazel Crest, IL, with additional locations in Orland Park, South Holland, and Frankfort, IL. Our practice includes seven providers, four OB/GYN physicians, one gynecologist, two Advanced Practice Nurses and a dedicated social worker. We provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to women of all ages. In office procedures include colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, LEEP and hysteroscopy. Your feedback matters. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present. Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions. Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines. Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed. May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary. In this role you will partner with the rest of the clinical team to provide patients the highest quality of care. In this role, a Medical Assistant is an employee who performs a wide variety of patient care services under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice nurse (APN) or physician.
