Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and recording medical history and confirming purpose of visit. Prepares patients for health care visit by directing and or accompanying them to the exam room; provides examination gowns or shorts; assists them to position themselves, arranges exam room, instruments, supplies and equipment. Ensure all related reports, labs and imaging are available in patient’s records prior to visit. Supports patient care by assisting providers during exam; draws up medications for injections; completes records by recording examination, treatment and test results. Relays treatment plan to checkout receptionist. Keeps exam room and injection station supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt. Ensure that patients receive appropriate competent and quality clinical care and that customer service meets patient’s expectation. Adherence by staff to all policy and procedures. Provides age appropriate care. Reporting monitoring and management of patient and staff incidents. Monitoring and management of patient and physician satisfaction results. Follows standards precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Knowledge and performance of sterile tech. Maintains strict quality control for procedures. Scanning orders and lab results into electronic medical system, print and fax lab reports to ordering doctor.
