Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER Biweekly Hours: 80.00 Shift: 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM The Department of Emergency Medicine of the MetroHealth System, a principal teaching hospital of the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine, is seeking Advance Practice Registered Nurse to join our growing team at our Life Flight team. Delivers direct patient care consistent with the advanced practice registered nurse’s education, experience and certification, in collaboration with a physician, which includes diagnosis, management and/or referral of health care issues. Promotes consumer, family, and community health through preventative health care actions and through patient advocacy. The advanced practice registered nurse may also manage complex illnesses and/or deliver specialty care. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System. Metro Life Flight: Responsible for advanced emergency and critical care patient management during air and ground transport of the critically ill or injured patient from the scene or outlying sites to participating secondary and tertiary care institutions. Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Key Responsibilities: Administers medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy. Must demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration. Records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately. Observes for and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift. Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
