BSN is preferred. (CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.) Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire is required. One (1) year of experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required. One (1) year of ICU experience with post op and advanced monitoring equipment including IABP, CRRT, and Impella is highly preferred. BCLS is required upon hire with an expiration date greater than 3 months preferred. ACLS is required within 90 days of hire. Our phenomenal RN team also provides care for cardiovascular patients with conditions such Heart Failure, AMI, pre and post interventional patients (heart Cath, ablations, and pacemakers), patients needing cardiac drips, and Arrhythmia patients needing a higher level of care in a non-ICU setting. It is a high acuity telemetry/ PCU unit that has standard nurse to patient ratios of 4:1 and up to 5:1 depending on acuity.
