Duties Description Participate in nursing activities, including the preparation, evaluation, and implementation of nursing care plans to ensure quality patient care Act as health liaison. Coordinate and schedule medical follow-up, including completion of consultations. Provide first aid and emergency nursing care. Monitor and order pharmaceutical supplies for each individual. Attend team reviews and present information, as needed. Meet documentation requirement i.e. obtaining & transcribing physicians’ orders, daily nursing notes, health charts, medication regimen reviews and case review summaries. Provide medication administration. Maintain inventory standards for medication, controlled substances, medical supplies. Participate in staff training. Prepare clinical and administrative reports. Minimum Qualifications Transfer: One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer. For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, if the candidate meets the below NY HELPS minimum qualifications. Additional Comments Salary Schedule is as follows: $96,147-$105,138- Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18 and Geographic Differential ($20,000). Employees hired for this shift (12 pm – 10 pm) will qualify for a shift differential (7%) and inconvenience pay (+$575.00). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in a NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.
