Registered Nurse (RN)- Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services- Men's Residence- Full Time- Nights The Registered Professional Nurse in CARS is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients, in a fast paced multi-faceted department. These responsibilities will include the observation data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational and spiritual needs. Roles and Responsibilities: Helps to maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients. Completes physical & mental health assessments (VS, risk assessments, withdrawal assessment (COWS) as indicated by Part 820 regulations Administers and monitors treatment regimens Administers prescribed medications Observes and reports behavioral changes Maintains control of drugs and medications Triage emergent client medical issues and coordinate care with the Nursing Staff, PA, NP, Medical Director and outside providers. Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting Direct care provided by licensed practical nurses Respects cultural and religious practices of patients Helps to maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients.
