Mission Heritage Medical Group is seeking a full-time nurse practitioner to join an established Critical Care Medicine in Mission Viejo, California. This role offers the opportunity to care for a high-acuity patient population with strong clinical support and access to on-site labs, diagnostics, and subspecialty consultation. The team values provider autonomy, allowing clinicians to independently manage patient care. Join this dedicated and collegial team in Southern California. Position Details: Full-time (1.0 FTE), inpatient setting Night shift, 3 days per week (12-hour shifts) 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. with rotating weekends No call responsibilities Team includes 6 physicians and 1 NP On-site labs and diagnostic, availability for sub-specialists for consultations Growth opportunity within the organization Compensation & Benefits: Compensation is between $174,920 and $228,314 per year The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse functions under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and is responsible for coordination of safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations. The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revised the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family. The RN Delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes. The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act. Qualifications Job Requirements: Associate’s degree in nursing Current Kansas RN Licensure. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care Tele, ICU, and PCU require ACLS Post-surgery requires oncology certification. All required certifications must be completed within the first year of employment Preferred Job Requirements: At least one year of recent experience in a similar healthcare setting. Bachelor’s degree in nursing Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

How you’ll make an impact in this role Deliver high-acuity care across four specialized ICUs, providing life-sustaining support to patients within our Cardiac, Burn, MedSurg, and Neuro departments. Orchestrate the care journey by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure complex patient needs are met with precision and empathy. Adapt and respond to the shifting needs of our tertiary care campus, ensuring every department has the expert nursing support required for incoming critical cases. Monitor and advocate for patient safety by interpreting complex hemodynamic data and adjusting care plans to drive the best possible clinical outcomes. Bridge the gap between specialties, serving as a versatile clinical expert who can provide stability in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required. What additional preferences we're seeking Nursing experience is required - This ICU Float Position is for an experienced nurse willing to float between our 4 ICU Departments (CVICU, Burns, MedSurg ICU, Neuro ICU). Opportunity to grow as a nurse as many of the team also help in IR/Cath Lab/PACU/ED areas.
