Certified Nursing Assistant - Skilled Nursing

Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Nurse Director and the direct supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides a variety of patient care activities across life span and accommodative services for assigned patients. These activities are carried out according to hospital policy, the hospital mission statement, and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION High school graduate or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Experience in an accredited healthcare facility preferred. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Certification in the State of Texas as a Nursing Assistant. American Heart Association BLS required. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES None. Registered Nurse - Med/Surg (Full-Time Day Shift)

Responsibilities The Registered Nurse provides direction to professional and non-professional clinical personnel in providing direct patient care. The Registered Nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing services assisting all patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization. Through collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, the nurse prepares the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited nursing program. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Previous clinical nursing experience. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Current licensure in Texas as a registered Nurse Certified through the American Heart Association Basic Life Support required. ACLS certification preferred within the first year of hire. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Interpersonal and critical thinking skills required. Excellent communication and team work skills. Basic clinical, computer & typing skills. Registered Nurse - PreOp/PACU

Responsibilities The Pre-op/PACU RN is responsible for the pre-operative and post-operative care of the surgical patient for the department. Multidimensional responsibilities include patient/family teaching and patient care throughout the pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia recovery phases of care. The registered nurse in Pre-op/PACU is involved in the assessment, nursing diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of perceived, potential or actual problems associated with anesthesia agents and surgical procedures.. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum of one year acute care experience as an RN preferred. Recent working experience in pre-op/PACU preferred. Critical care background preferred. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association. ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of employment. Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism during stressful times. Strong critical thinking skills.
