Our established group is seeking a full-scope Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our collaborative team. Group Providers: 7 OB/GYN Physicians, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 1 Certified Nurse Midwife & Growing! 3 Convenient Office Locations: Bryn Mawr, King of Prussia, & Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania 50/50 OB/GYN Group Deliveries: Approximately 450-500 per year In-office ultrasounds with technologists Hospital Affiliation: Bryn Mawr Hospital - Main Line Health Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit 24/7 In-House Anesthesiologist Highly Qualified & Skilled Nurses CNM Position Summary: The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is responsible for the assessment of selected patients in the designated service. The CNM performs physical examinations, confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, and works hand in hand with other providers in a synergistic and cooperative manner. As a midwife in the care center, their job duties include but are not limited to: Practices under the standard procedure established for the CNM role consistent with Company policy and in accordance with all legal requirements. Conducts age - appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol. Performs assessment/data collection in an on-going systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial. cultural, spiritual and cognitive status, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy. Consults with supervising physician or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment findings. Participates with physicians and other clinicians in the department to assure effective patient care consistent with quality indicators for patients cared for in the designated service. Reviews medical record for follow up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols. Establishes effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families. Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the practice. Performs efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events. Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning. Demonstrates a service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and all members of the health care team. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunication modalities to document, track and convey information. On call requirements. Qualifications: Pennsylvania CNM license, Prescriptive Authority, & DEA or ability to obtain. Recent full-scope CNM experience, outside of educational clinical experience highly preferred. Job Description Nemours is seeking a Fetal Nurse Coordinator to join our Nemours Children’s Health team in Wilmington, DE. The Nemours Fetal Care Center (NFCC) and Advanced Delivery Unit are expanding the scope of service to include comprehensive prenatal, obstetrical and postpartum care for women whose unborn child has been diagnosed with a birth defect or complex medical condition that will require immediate multidisciplinary pediatric care in the neonatal period. In addition to currently available prenatal imaging to diagnose these conditions, we are also expanding invasive diagnostics and fetal intervention procedures. The Fetal Nurse Coordinator (FNC) is the frontline associate and first contact clinician coordinating care for all patients entering the Nemours Fetal Care Center and Advanced Delivery Unit Program. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the FNC will take the lead in the coordination of a clear and concise plan for all NFCC patients in a manner that meets the needs of the patient and family first. This position will support Nemours patients and families in experiencing continuity of care within the Nemours system.
