The Medical Assistant administers and performs triage and direct care to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the RN/Nurse Manager. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures. Provides professional nursing care at the proficient level which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with care standards, under the direction of a licensed physician or other licensed medical professional.
