Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance as requires. Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish this position. Must be able to adjust to a flexible schedule to include evenings, nights and weekend work hours. Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing and Associate Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, implementing, and directing the daily operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and facility regulations. Participate in facility surveys and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies as requested by leadership. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures. Qualifications & Requirements Must possess a current and active RN license in the State of New York. License must be in good standing and free of disciplinary action. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or related healthcare setting preferred. Must have at least six (6) months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices. Strong leadership, organizational, and clinical assessment skills required. Experience with electronic medical records and healthcare software preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Experience with Sigma and ShowdMe systems preferred. Ability to work independently and effectively manage overnight nursing operations.
