PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES Prepares and performs point of care testing such as urine dipstick, blood glucose, etc. Performs clinical intake to include vital signs, medical history, surgical history, social history, and verification of patient’s current medications. Arranges and administers medications as ordered by provider utilizing the “6 Rights” of Medication Administration, to include documentation and coding. Controlled substances, insulin and allergy doses must be checked by a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practitioner.
