Position Responsibilities · Provides leadership and oversight for all nursing operations within the assigned unit, ensuring continuous, high-quality care, patient satisfaction, and efficient resource management. · Participates in and/or leads cross functional teams and is willing to make rapid and sound changes for the medical center to be a National and International Leader in clinical outcomes. · Plans, organizes and directs activities of the assigned unit through the management of the team leaders and charge nurses. · Organizes the establishment of new processes and/or re-modeling of existing ones to achieve the unit and Medical Center goals. · Ensures all processes and procedures provide for consistent, timely, high quality and cost-effective clinical results. · Ensures an efficient patient flow process. · Responsible for maintaining and improving clinical care within the assigned unit towards the goal of being rated among the best in the United States. · Creates, integrates and initiates new concepts and practices to improve patient and family care as well as physician and employee satisfaction. · Provides leadership in complex and/or stressful situations, counsels staff based on factual and objective information. Ensures timely and appropriate actions for resolution. · Identifies staffing patterns to cover the unit’s needs around the clock. Sets and monitors staff schedules in relation to patient acuity, census, technology and resources management to meet budgetary needs. · Assesses and improves the services provided within the unit by implementing the Performance Improvement Program. Monitors and enforces the activities related to performance improvement and quality control. · Establishes and maintains Medical Center Safety and compliance policies. · All other duties as assigned. Qualifications · Florida RN License · BLS required · CNOR preferred · Graduated from an accredited school of nursing, BSN Required, MSN, Business, Health Administration or related field is strongly preferred. · 5 years of leading experience in an Operating room or related healthcare operational role and ten years in nursing/healthcare. Must have a working knowledge of home healthcare, and the principles and techniques of professional nursing, and required documentation that pertains to it. 6. Should be skillful in organization, and in the principles of time management, and have knowledge of management processes. 7. Must be able to contribute to the quality of care being rendered, through constructive communication with nursing managers and staff. 8. Must have a criminal background check. 9. Must have a current CPR certification. Online certification is not accepted. Environment: Contact with clients under a wide variety of circumstances. Care is provided in client’s living environment with varying situations, including private homes, independent or assisted living or in an institution such as a hospital or long-term care facility. May be required to respond to emergency situations. Travel required. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood/body fluids/tissues and other potentially infectious material such as body fluids/tissues.
