Prioritizes and organizes work effectively within assigned shift. Assesses the Surgical patient, plans and initiates care and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions. Performs clinical care in the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases of the patient’s surgical experience. Demonstrates competency to perform both scrub and circulating role in assigned surgical procedures. Utilizes proper body mechanics when moving patients, equipment or lifting trays. Education Training and Experience Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required. Two years’ Operating Room, however training and specialty specific education programs are provided during orientation and must be successfully completed as scheduled. Perioperative credit course is required for anyone with no Operating Room experience. Licensure/Certification Current Pennsylvania RN License. BSN CPR certification required.
