Department: Neuroscience Shared Services Location: Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine-3400 Civic Center Blvd Hours: Fulltime, Onsite, Monday – Friday Summary: The CPUP Licensed Practical Nurse assists physicians and performs healthcare services to patients in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Monitors and charts patients, collects sample, and performs other tasks as assigned, all under the direction of registered nurses and doctors. Responsibilities: Administers prescribed medications, gives injections and vaccines, reads PPD results. Performs electrocardiograms (EKG) and screening tests. Obtains and tests specimens following standard operating procedures and documents results, taking appropriate action with unexpected results. Prepares specimens for transport as necessary. Gather information from patient and direct to the RN or Provider when necessary. Assists provider with surgical procedures including positioning patients, keeping a sterile field, and wound cleaning and dressing. Prepares paperwork to complete patient visit. Obtains and documents patient's vital signs as needed and reports abnormal results to provider. Cleans, disinfects, sterilizes and checks to make sure all instruments and equipment are in proper working order. Maintains medication storage closets. Participates in orienting new team members. Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization. Credentials: PA Licensed Practical Nurse (Required) Basic Cardiac Life Support per the American Heart Association (Required) Education or Equivalent Experience: H.S. Nursing Supervisor (11p-7a) Job Summary A long term care facility in Collingdale PA is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to join our team of healthcare professionals. The Nursing Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring high-quality patient care while providing leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing staff. This position is ideal for an experienced nursing professional who is committed to clinical excellence, staff development, regulatory compliance, and positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care as needed while ensuring all care is delivered in accordance with established standards of practice and facility policies and procedures. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of nursing staff, including assignments, schedules, and workload management. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff to promote a positive and collaborative work environment. Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, social services, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Monitor patient conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented in a timely manner. Ensure nursing staff are properly trained, competent, and equipped to provide safe and effective patient care. Address patient, family, and staff concerns promptly and appropriately. Monitor compliance with facility policies, nursing standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes. Assist with the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and patient-centered care. Requirements Education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program. Experience: Previous nursing experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current and active nursing license required. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, and develop nursing staff. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Clinical Skills: Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond appropriately to changing patient conditions.
