WORK SCHEDULE Days Evenings Weekends Per Diem/intermittent Department Description Our Pre-Anesthesia Clinic RNs provide a complete assessment of the patient and address medical issues to reduce the risk of complications of anesthesia during surgery. Pre-op teaching is also part of the patient visit. The Pre-Anesthesia Clinic will complete assessments for 60+ patients/day which is done as a clinic visit, phone interview or a chart review. Nurses receive in depth specialty training to perform a complete pre-anesthesia evaluation POSITION HIGHLINGTS Assessment and nursing diagnosis of patients Care planning Patient teaching Discharge and transfer planning Admission, discharge and transfer processes Requirements 2 years current recent Critical Care experience, Emergency or PACU Phase I and/or Phase II PACU Experience Preferred.
