Responsibilities Clinical Care • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care to general surgery patients.• Conduct inpatient rounds, perform focused history and physical examinations, document progress notes, and develop care plans in collaboration with the surgical team.• Perform bedside procedures within scope of practice (e.g., suture removal, drain management, wound care).• Assist surgeons in the operating room as needed, including first assisting.• Manage patient flow in surgical clinics, including evaluation, follow-up, test review, and coordination of care.• Respond to inpatient consults in a timely manner and provide initial assessment with attending-to-attending communication.
