The SWAT nurse is a highly skilled, highly trained experienced nurse who provides support to various Nursing Units, including but not limited to ICU, Medical, Surgical, and at least 1 specialty area as defined in Supplemental Staffing Nursing Policy. The SWAT nurse is able to function independently to provide safe, quality and clinically competent care. The SWAT nurse is able to plan, implement, evaluate and document care that is in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. This position will be Monday-Friday and will require one evening shift per week and a rotating Saturday shift. The shift will be based off the operational need. Two years of LPN and pediatric experience is preferred. The Licensed Practical Nurse performs routine nursing care of the ill, injured or infirm under the direction of a licensed professional (RN) nurse, nurse practitioner and/or a physician. The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating the mental health needs of the patient.
