Job Summary Ambulatory MGBCI Waltham - Solid tumor APP Outpatient only- Full time, 40 hours, 4-10-hr shifts- M-F only With an interdisciplinary team approach, the NP or PA will promote a collaborative relationship between all providers, professional nurses and administrative staff, to ensure continuity of patient care. Focus is primarily on the care of breast medical oncology patients in our ambulatory clinic at MGH Waltham though cross coverage across solid tumor malignanies may be anticipated. In addition to providing direct and indirect patient care, the medical oncology APP serves as a role model for professional advanced practice and participates in the professional development of the team through teaching, committee involvement or quality and safety initiatives. The medical oncology APP will provide thorough, compassionate, culturally sensitive clinical care and should demonstrate operational flexibility and strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills in order to work effectively with other members of the team. The NP/PA is responsible for: • Performs and records the patient history and physical examination and discusses findings with the collaborating team. Obtaining and coordinating laboratory results, charting of clinical findings in the EMR, orders, nursing instructions, and other required elements. • Utilizes advanced practice knowledge to identify, prevent or solve complex and/or recurring breast oncology patient care problems. • Follows and manages patients (in collaboration with MD) enhancing continuity of care. • Performs (oversees/assures completion of) specialized procedures particular to the select medical oncology population mutually agreed upon with collaborating physician. • Collaborates with staff and physicians to facilitate a comprehensive plan of care and coordinate resources and write appropriate orders improving access to care, establishing goals for the delivery of care to patients, participating in clinical research, and managing communications between physicians, patients, family, and staff. • Appreciates complex medication interactions. • Ensuring appropriate diagnostic procedures occur in a timely matter through careful coordination with other services such as radiology, facilitating various clinic appointments, communicating with patients regarding test results, and providing coverage for the team. • Educating patients regarding a variety of medical oncology issues associated with local or systemic therapy. • Indications and interpretation of radiology, pathology, and laboratory results. • Understands the complex medical environments of cancer patients including, but not limited to, those with advanced malignancy or organ dysfunction. • Writes orders which are in accord with current guidelines including antineoplastics. • Maintains and practices in accord with practice guidelines per state and hospital regulations. American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Adult Emergency Department position requiring recent Level I/II or III/IV ED experience and telemetry rhythm interpretation skills. Job details: - Work in a high-volume Adult Emergency Department serving 350-440 patients per day with up to 120 treatment areas - Night shift schedule of 4x12hr shifts (48 hrs/week), 7p-7:30a - Work every other weekend, 2 weekends within a 4-week schedule period - Every other holiday required, including 2 of the 3 winter holidays and surrounding days - Patient ratio of 1:4-5 depending on acuity - Flexibility to float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (caring for patients age 15+ in pedi unless prior pediatric experience) required - Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms during this assignment - Contract runs through 01/09/2027 - 48-hour contracts preferred, though 36-hour contracts will also be considered Requirements: - Active MA RN license required - Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required - Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience required - Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, including identifying heart blocks - Must pass a Telemetry Test with a score of 85% or higher on Day 1 - Epic EMR experience preferred - Critical care experience preferred - Previous travel assignment experience preferred Additional information: - Provide emergency nursing care in a very busy, high-acuity Adult ED setting - Must be willing to sign contract through 01/09/2027 and commit to holiday coverage requirements - Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local - First-time travelers are welcome to apply
