Responsibilities Record a patient’s medical history accurately Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc. Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc. Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc. Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks Collect samples for lab testing as assigned Provide emotional and psychological support when needed Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions Skills Proven experience as LPN or similar role Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry Perfect physical condition and stamina Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and able to handle stress Successful completion of LPN license program is a must Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Supplemental pay types: Attendance bonus License/Certification: LPN (Required) Work Location: In person

Responsibilities: Conducts thorough medical histories, performs complete physical examinations (where indicated), initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests or other special tests required for evaluation of illness, and scrutinizes lab data to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan. Works in collaboration with the health care team. Performs and interprets common laboratory, radiologic, cardiographic and other routine diagnostic procedures used to identify pathophysiologic processes as credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals. Performs routine and specialized procedures as credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals. May prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by license through applicable state board and Cleveland Clinic policies. Educates patients and answers questions regarding their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects and hazards. Participates in medical team rounds; collaborates with nursing, medical and other healthcare team members regularly to ensure quality patient care. Refers patients to specialists as appropriate for consultation or for specialized health resources and treatment.
