Examine residents and their records, and discriminate between normal and abnormal findings to recognize when to refer to a physician for evaluation, supervision, or direction. Provide assessment and diagnostic services to residents, perform assessments, and initiate requests for consultation or referral. Identify, manage, and treat specific skin disorders and primary and secondary lesions. Assist in resident rehabilitation activities and provide preventative health care services. Make written and oral reports to the attending physician, Medical Director, or DON concerning the status and care of residents. Implement and maintain established policies and procedures relative to wound care treatments. Perform other duties as assigned.
