Patients usually cared for in this area include those with trauma tic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, rib fractures and lung injuries, as well as diverse orthopedic injuries requiring frequent monitoring and care. Patients may also be transferred to the TSDU from the Trauma /Surgical ICU when their clinical condition has improved but close monitoring or ventilator support is still required . The unit is staffed with registered nurses, critical care technicians, trauma surgery nurse practitioners and resident physicians. Staff also work closely with respiratory therapy and specialized surgical groups such as orthopedics and neurosurgery. Nurses and critical care technicians working in this area receive education specific to the care of the trauma patient. Hospice Aides to provide services in the West Chester area both in facilities and/or patients’ private residence. Highly Competitive pay, with plenty of hours! 18.00-22.00 per hour Your responsibilities: Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for your patient as necessary to meet his or her personal needs and promote comfort Responsible for observing the patient and reporting these observations Promote quality, continuity and safety of your patient’s care Certified nursing assistant duties Required skills and qualifications: Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements One year of previous experience working in the healthcare industry Understanding of hospice philosophy and ability to comfortably provide specialized care to the terminally ill Valid CNA Certification is required Great work environment.
