About The Role We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA‑C) with acute care experience in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine to join our growing team. As a field‑based Advanced Practice Provider, you will independently deliver comprehensive care in patients’ homes—conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, managing treatment plans, and coordinating follow‑up care. You will be fully equipped to treat everything from common illnesses to complex injuries, while providing compassionate, whole‑person care across all age groups. The ideal candidate uses strong critical‑thinking skills, follows evidence‑based standards of practice, proactively identifies and solves problems, adheres to all clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics, and consistently provides care with compassion, empathy, and cultural competency. What We Offer Flexible 10‑hour shifts 4 shifts per week- Full-Time APPs are not required to work weekend shifts. However, weekend shifts are available for those who would like the opportunity to pick up additional shifts. Extra shift pay if you elect to pick up additional shifts 1:1 patient ratio; see 4-7 patients per shift Competitive compensation with quarterly and annual bonuses Comprehensive benefits, including CME and license assistance Onsite training and growth opportunities Company vehicle, malpractice, and liability coverage What You’ll Do Perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnose mild to complex illnesses Provide therapeutic interventions including splinting, suturing, wound care, minor procedures, IV fluids, and medication administration Order, perform, and interpret point‑of‑care laboratory studies Analyze diagnostic data to guide treatment plans and ensure continuity of care Educate patients and families on condition management and recovery Navigate difficult conversations related to goals of care and end‑of‑life decisions Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical power of attorney, primary care providers, and care partners Accurately and thoroughly document all patient encounters Adhere to evidence‑based clinical standards, safety protocols, and performance metrics Attend required training sessions and clinical team meetings Drive a DispatchHealth‑branded vehicle to patient homes and deliver care independently Perform additional duties as assigned What You’ll Need Current, unrestricted NP or PA license in the state of practice National board certification (current) Minimum 2 years of APP experience in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Family Practice, Cardiac, Pulmonary, or related settings BLS and ACLS certification Prescriptive authority and active DEA (as required by state) Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy and insurer requirements. Duties Description Independently performs the duties below: Conducts nursing assessments; and obtains, records, and updates individuals’ health information and vital signs, using standard instruments and procedures. Prepares, implements, and modifies nursing care plans; prepares individuals for and/or assists with examinations and treatments; and administers medications and nursing procedures to individuals, as prescribed Observes, monitors, and records individuals’ symptoms, conditions, and care, including diet and physical activity; and identifies and reports individuals’ responses to medication or changes in health status. Serves as the nursing representative on a treatment team; provides information on nursing needs; and consults and coordinates with treatment teams and other health care disciplines to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate individuals’ care. Makes clinical rounds to assess individuals’ nursing care needs and observe and participate in the provision of nursing services. Provides health teaching, counseling, and education to individuals, families, and other groups; and develops health improvement programs. Implements infection control protocols and procedures and provides related consultation and instruction to staff. Maintains and updates charts, records, and other documentation, consistent with agency, State, and federal requirements; and may collect data and perform related activities to support medical research. Monitors inventories and ensures that standards for medications, solutions, supplies, and equipment are maintained to meet nursing care needs. Provides clinical supervision and instruction to Graduate Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and direct care staff in completing nursing care tasks.
