Advocate for the unit’s interests to upper management and collaborate in addressing issues as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care (preferred). At least 1 year of experience in a Unit Manager role (preferred). Valid RN License required. Basic computer skills for documentation and communication. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities. In-depth understanding of substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and recovery principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse nursing team. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in healthcare and addiction treatment settings. Certification in addiction nursing or related field is a plus (e.g., CARN – Certified Addiction Registered Nurse) preferred. Position Summary The RN Educator is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing clinical education programs to ensure staff competency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality resident care. This role plays a key part in onboarding new hires, supporting ongoing staff development, and driving quality improvement initiatives.
