As part of a highly productive cardiology group consisting of 30 physicians and 28 nurse practitioners, our General Cardiology nurse practitioner team rounds on the inpatient service and sees outpatients in the office setting. Occasional travel to a satellite office may be required. Our nurse practitioners enjoy collaborative practice with a high degree of autonomy. NPs play an important role assisting in rounds, consults, and discharges at the hospital. NPs also see our newly discharged patients in early follow up to ensure that our patients are progressing with their treatment plan. By using our team-based approach to cardiology care, we have enjoyed a historic low in readmission rates. Hours: This position is full-time, primarily dayshift hours. The usual staffing shift is four 10-hour shifts per week. One weekend a quarter rotation either day or night shift. Requires occasional evenings or nights.
