Job Overview Fairview is looking for an upbeat and energetic Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department at Fairview Ridges Hospital located in Burnsville, MN. The hospital is just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions! It has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the scenic Minnesota Valley since 1984. Our ED is a Level 3 Trauma Center. We have 45 beds and a yearly census of approximately 67,000 and growing! The Fairview Ridges ER processes 72,000 cases per year, with an average of 203 patients seen daily. The position duties include assessment, care planning, interventions, and instructing. New positions added due to volumes/growth. The patient population served by the Emergency Department consists of newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring or seeking medical care. Job Overview Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our ICU - Cardiovascular Department at our East Bank University Hospital location in Minneapolis, MN. We care for patients who have had coronary artery bypass, valve replacement and transcatheter aortic valve replacement, aortic arch repair and heart and lung transplant. The CVICU also handles patients with decompensated heart failure, adult congenital heart defects, cardiogenic shock, advanced pulmonary hypertension and cardiac arrest. We apply extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), ventricular assist devices (VAD), intraortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Swan-Ganz catheters routinely. Our complex patient population requires hemodynamic monitoring, critical medication management, management of organ failure, maintenance of systemic perfusion and high technical skills. This unit has a low nurse to patient ratio and resource nurses on unit. Schedule: This position will be working 0.60 FTE (48 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the night shift. This position will also work every third weekend.
