RESPONSIBILITIES The RN assists physician in the care and teaching of patients. QUALIFICATIONS Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Residence, with experience in IV therapy. The ability to assess patient needs and condition. Strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Current CPR certification. BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days). Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills. Valid driver license for travel to clinics. Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is preferred. Job Description Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more. Principal Accountabilities Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions. Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members. Records patient vital signs and medical information.
