More about our 7S Heart & Vascular Medical Stepdown unit : The Heart Failure/7 South consists of 28 private medical stepdown beds in a family-centered environment. In addition to caring for heart failure patients, the unit specializes in the care of patients diagnosed with MI, cardiac arrhythmias, syncope and cardiomyopathy as well as the recovery of patients following ablation, pacer placement/ICD and PTA. Medical services are offered to all types of patient populations requiring cardiac monitoring, including renal, endocrine, pulmonary, oncologic, general medicine and geriatric. Other services provided within this unit include titration of multiple intravenous medications and conscious sedation for cardioversions. In addition, a select group of nurses complete special training to provide ultrafiltration for decompensated heart failure patients and left ventricular assist device (LVAD). All nurses are ACLS certified and have completed an EKG interpretation course. This is an excellent unit for nurses interested in transitioning to an ICU setting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES Patient Care 1. Completes an initial, comprehensive and ongoing comprehensive assessment of patient and family to determine hospice needs. Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Description The Geauga Regionals Medical Center Cath Lab is a small group of dedicated cardiac professionals who enjoy the challenge of treating cardiac, peripheral and interventional Radiology procedures. EP pacemaker and ICD implants are also done in our cath lab. Plenty of variety! Our team enjoys caring for these patients at some of the most stressful times in their lives. If you enjoy a fast paced work environment with lots of opportunity to grow and learning opportunity, the Cath Lab is for you! Continuous education, in-services and shadowing over a minimum 3 month period are priority before you would be placed on call, insuring your confidence and that of your team mates. Cardiac Cath Lab RNs work closely with our techs and may scrub, circulate or monitor cases rotating as necessary. A Brief Overview Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. What You Will Do Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Description Lerner Tower 7 is a 30 bed telemetry unit with 9 beds that are capable of flexing to a stepdown level of care. Specifically, our focus is on Vascular Surgery, Electrophysiology and Interventional Cardiology, including care of the TAVR patient population.
