This position covers all inpatient units at our 21 bed critical access hospital, Peace Harbor. Per Diem/Day Shift position The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $49.30 – $77.46. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. There may be more than one opening on this posting. Job Summary Provides professional nursing direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards. Promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the care delivery team. Essential Functions Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs. Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards. Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence. Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development. Participates in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention program. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN or MSN preferred. Providers work within a collaborative interprofessional team to practice the full scope of family medicine, often caring for entire families from newborns all the way to grandparents. The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. Function/Duties of Position The provider will be involved in eight half days with direct patient care, and the supervision of students and other university learners at the Cascades East Family Medicine Center. A half of a work day is provided for administration and a half of a work day is provided for scholarly activities. The expected work week for this position will be flexible with rotating Saturdays and some of the weekday hours would be in the evening. Position Summary A Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver responsible and accountable for their practice for assigned patient(s). Utilizing the nursing process, the RN delivers superb health care in a compassionate manner, is committed to excellence and empowered to streamline and improve operations. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) has the capacity for 32 patients. The Asante NICU is the regional Level III NICU specifically designed to provide comprehensive neonatal care using high technology equipment uniquely designed for premature and/or high acuity infants. The NICU treats premature neonates as early as 22-weeks gestation. The NICU is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department has bed space to provide care for up to 32 neonates. The NICU has six twin rooms and one triplet room. Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center nurse to neonate ratios are 2:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity. The NICU has a dedicated transport team that services Southern Oregon and surrounding areas. Average daily census is 20. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred One of the following experience areas is required: 2 years of acute care experience in a level III NICU, - OR - 2 years of experience in ARRMC Women's & Children's Service Line, - OR - 2 years of experience in a Critical Care Service Line or Emergency Department Preferred Experience Level III NICU experience Experience in maternal/infant transport Charge experience License/Certification RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing required upon start BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification jointly sponsored with the AHA must be obtained within 4 months of hire date RNC-NIC: Registered Nurse Certified - Neonatal Intensive Care, preferred CCRN-N: Critical Care Registered Nurse - Neonatal, preferred Please note: Certifications acquired through online courses are not accepted.
