Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary The Advanced Practice Provider (Critical Care) provides advanced care to critically ill patients usually in an ICU or Emergency Department or an intensive surgical area requiring strong procedural skills, critical thinking and the ability to manage high acuity patients independently under the collaboration with an intensivist. Requirements for this role include a master’s or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care certification) or Physician Assistant with concentrated critical care experience or knowledge. Oversees the plan of care, ordering tests, medications and treatments for complex conditions. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Provides direct patient care to include obtaining patient history, performing patient assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
