Main 6 is a 26 bed Cardiac-Thoracic Interventional Unit. The team cares for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical patients. Many of these patients have undergone open heart surgery-bypass, valve, vascular and thoracic surgery. In some situations, the team collaborates with the research team for patients involved in cardiac research trials. Most of these patients are admitted directly to the unit from home, operating room, cardiac processing unit or cardio-thoracic intensive care unit. Good verbal/written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills Licensure/Certification Current Pennsylvania State Nursing license. CPR and ACLS required.
