As an integral extension of the Emergency Department, the CDU provides short term observation care, up to 48 hour, for patients requiring further evaluation before discharge or admission. This unique setting allows our team to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while working with a wide range of diagnoses, including electrolyte imbalances, anemia chest pain, transient ischemic attacks and infections.
