Summary Under the general supervision of the Clinic Administrator or Physician, and according to established procedures, provides care to patients and families. Responsible and accountable for the care provided regardless of whether it is provided solely by said nurse or if by the nurse and others under his/her supervision. Implements and coordinates the steps of the nursing process, involves the patient in decision making relative to care and is responsible for making nursing care judgements and acting upon them. Collaborates with Physicians in the management of prescribed medical plan of care. Involves implementation of the physician prescribed regimen, evaluations of patient response to the regimen and communication to the Physician of changes in the patient’s status. Participates in related clinical and operational research activities. Assumes charge position responsibilities for the clinic as delegated. Participates with the Ambulatory Clinical Manager in performance appraisals. Minimum Qualifications Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. Basic Knowledge Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Must have current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.
