As part of this team, the CRNA is expected to engage in accurate, ongoing patient assessments, communicate with members of the healthcare team, use resources efficiently to deliver optimal care and document care thoroughly in the appropriate records. Administers general, regional anesthetics or Monitored Anesthesia Care during surgical and/or obstetrical procedures under the medical direction of an attending Anesthesiologist. Evaluates situations and informs attending Anesthesiologist of patient's condition; recommends anesthetics to be used; techniques of administration and supportive measures necessary for approval by attending physician as required by departmental guidelines.
