Job Description The Registered Nurse in the Sexual Health Center provides direct patient care, coordinates treatment plans, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes, maintains clinical documentation, adheres to safety protocols, and supports patient education and advocacy. The Sexual Health Department in a small, interdisciplinary team that primarily promotes public health initiatives funded through grants and awards. Public health initiatives include prevention, testing, and treatment for HIV, HCV, and sexually transmitted infections; harm reduction health programming such as preventative care, acute and chronic disease management, and wound care; education and counseling to promote safer sex and use strategies. Principal Accountabilities Patient Assessment: Perform systematic, comprehensive, and accurate assessments. Assess potential discharge needs during the initial assessment process. Administers medications to patients and monitor effects of medications and treatments and report adverse effects in a timely manner. Assess patient for pain level.
