Overview SCU (Surgical Care Unit) RN is responsible for the preoperative preparation and recovering of all surgical patients. Overview The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an important member of the patient care team, supporting patients, nurses and also overall unit functioning. The CNA is responsible for helping create and maintain a safe, healing environment for our patients, and a healthy working environment for the care team. Overview This position is responsible for the daily work and work flow within the Surgical Care Unit (SCU). The Clinical Coordinator/SCU Charge RN supervises the nursing staff in coordinating schedules, nursing assignments and patient care in the preoperative and postoperative phases of surgery from preadmission through discharge. Responsibilities Daily staffing: Assigns nursing staff according to caseload, types of surgery cases, and staffing needs in accordance with Title 22.
