The candidate will demonstrate the ability to organize and manage multiple interventions simultaneously. Candidates should be able to provide nursing care to patients receiving Gastrointestinal Endoscopy or Pulmonary Procedures Additional specialty procedures performed are ERCP, EUS, Double Balloon, and ION procedures. Candidates will coordinate nursing care between the pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases, which may include directing other registered nurses, endoscopy technicians, and ancillary health care staff. Under the direction of a Charge Nurse and/or Clinical Nursing Supervisor, the candidate may function in the endo tech role, which includes supporting procedures, endoscope management, preparing readiness of procedure room, assisting with biopsies and other interventions, and room turnover per infection prevention policy. Candidates will administer sedation/analgesia under the direction of a physician. Candidates will assess and document hemodynamic status during sedation and post-procedure phases. Initiate and maintain peripheral intravenous lines. Candidate should be able to provide patient and family-centered education and discharge teaching based on learning needs. The candidate will have excellent computer skills with proficiency in all Microsoft software applications. They will participate in developing department goals and objectives by attending staff meetings and in-service programs, attending appropriate continuing education opportunities and staff development programs, and participating in quality improvement initiatives to support the implementation of change. Demonstrated critical thinking skills using the nursing process, excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to set priorities. Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to build respectful relationships between units and individuals. Candidates may be required to wear lead for extended periods of time. Candidates will assist with the completion of pre-procedure calls to patients undergoing procedures at UH MPU. Other responsibilities as assigned. Expectations Demonstrated accountability and dependability including a good attendance record with punctuality. Demonstrated adaptability to changing needs and priorities based on unit, department, and institutional goals/objectives. Proficiency with typing and electronic health record documentation. Ability to manage complex clinical issues utilizing assessment skills, protocols, and evidence-based interventions. Actively participate and support performance improvement activities related to self, clinic, department, and institutional goals and objectives. Required Qualifications* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) to practice nursing in Michigan. Minimum two (2) years of RN experience (at full-time status) within the past five (5) years in any of the following specialties: Procedures, Preop/PACU, ICU, ED, Sedation Analgesia Professional, Flight Nurse, or OR. Current ACLS Ability to stand for an extended period. One (1) year in the last five (5) years demonstrated proficiency with documentation in an electronic health record, e.g., Epic as indicated by interviews, references, and or performance evaluation. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills as evidence by resume, annual evaluations, and references. Desired Qualifications* Gastrointestinal Endoscopy or procedural nursing experience in an inpatient or outpatient care setting within the last 5 years. BSN Clinical nursing certification in Gastroenterology, Peri Anesthesia, or Ambulatory Care nursing. PALS certification Demonstrate excellence in communication skills; verbal and written. Excellent attendance as evidenced by previous work performance evaluations and or attendance records. Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain collaborative multi-disciplinary team relationships; prioritize duties, and multi-task with minimal supervision. Demonstrate excellence in customer service skills. The candidate should be able to provide examples during the interview. Proficiency in using and documenting an electronic medical record. Responsibilities* The Department of Urology is seeking a qualified APP to join the inpatient Urology service. In this position, the APP will evaluate and manage a range of complex care for inpatient adult urology patients. Clinical areas include General Urology, Incontinence, Neurourology and Reconstructive Urology, Uro-oncology, Endo-urology, and Andrology. Responsibilities Management of care for adult patients admitted to the Urology service. Daily list updates and rounding with resident and attending teams. Ordering, interpretation, and management of appropriate imaging and lab studies. Identification, ordering and monitoring of appropriate pharmacologic agents. Providing and documenting care according to University of Michigan Health System standards including progress notes, discharge summaries and consults with associated billing codes where appropriate. Patient education including urologic condition recommendations, Percutaneous Nephrostomy Tube management and flushes, neobladder irrigation, foley management, SPT management, ostomy care, catheter care including intermittent self-catheterization, wound care, and pre and post operative care. Coordinating timely discharge process with patient and family education, solution generating for any barriers that arise, and communication with chief resident and/or supervising physician. Evaluation of acute post op patients. Assist in minor procedures as directed by attending physician. Coordination and discussion of patient care with consulting services. Participate in clinical trials when applicable. These job duties may be modified depending on the needs of the Department of Urology. Required Qualifications* NP Requirements Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse and specialty certification as a NP in the State of Michigan Current specialty certification to practice as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner recognized by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). Current DEA registration required ACLS required (separate AHA approved BLS also required unless ACLS was completed through the UMHS Simulation Center). One (1) year of experience as a PA/NP PA Requirements Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan. Overview: OBGYN Associates , a practice partner of Together Women's Health , is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant (MA) to join their growing medical team. The Medical Assistant embraces a strong commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience with every interaction. This role ensures each patients' encounter is professional, warm and caring while meeting a patient's individual needs. Bilingual Spanish/English applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: Obtain patient's health history and accurately enter into Electronic Medical Record Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness Perform any preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals Set up any additional diagnostic and/or treatment equipment Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed Complete all documentation pertaining to patient's medical record, test requests, medications and patient education with accuracy and timeliness May perform Scribe duties Assist the physician as directed Must work well in a team environment Qualifications: Experience in a medical office setting and/or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree (Preferred) 1+ years in a medical office Experience with EMR system(s) and medical terminology is required Previous experience at an OBGYN office (Preferred) What’s in it for you?
