JOB TITLE : PACU RN PRN GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES : Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. The center operates Monday through Friday with shifts starting as early as 0530, the closing shift stays until the last patient is discharged (on average 4pm, however can be longer depending on the patient acuity). The majority of patients receive spinal anesthesia in preop and during recovery require ambulation of 100 feet. Discharge teaching requires attention to detail as these are all outpatients.
