Responsible for coordination of all admissions processes and serves as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, unit and hospital personnel involved with each admission. Verify insurance, triage patients, complete assessments, ability to staff clinical effectively, enter calls and admissions in computer and complete all admission paperwork with patient. Effectively communicate with unit staff and assist patient to unit. Pre-cert with payor source. Follow hospital’s policies and procedures regarding admissions. Position Hours: 7pm - 7am, three nights per week, rotating weekends Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited RN program; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing. Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care, Verbal De-escalation, and CPR prior to assisting in restraining procedures. Overview Shift’s Available: Variable Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN) Hours: Variable Location: Pampa Regional Medical Center, Pampa TX We are seeking an ICU Registered Nurse , also referred to as an ICU RN, Intensive Care Nurse or Intensive Care Unit RN. The Intensive Care RN (ICU RN) will be responsible for providing intensive care to patients with life-threatening conditions. The ICU RN will have advanced skills in critical care settings, make quick decisions, and will be compassionate to all patients. An ICU RN monitors vital signs, blood oxygen levels, administer IV Fluids, and communicates effectively to the medical team to modify care plans accordingly. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients by performing detailed assessments, developing care plans, and implementing complex nursing interventions Use advanced equipment like cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and capnography devices to continuously track vital signs and physiological parameters Safely administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products with precise dosing and timing, closely monitoring patient responses to ensure effectiveness and prevent adverse reactions Manage life-support devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, acting as a liaison to ensure they understand the care being provided Document all aspects of patient care to ensure continuity and compliance while rigorously maintaining infection control and safety protocols to protect vulnerable patients Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.5. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.6. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred. 8.
