Reviews all validation reports from the State Department of Health and corrects errors as necessary. Transmits MDS data to State DOH after making certain assessments are edited and locked. Provides billing department with information regarding resource utilization groups for Medicare patients. Educates staff regarding MDS, Quality Indicators and Prospective Payment System. Assures regulatory compliance with MDS assessments. Assures MDS Encoders are following policy and procedure and entering data timely and accurately. Writes or revises policies and procedures for department. Provides in-service training regarding the MDS to Nurse Managers, RNs, LPNs, and other clinical staff (social service, recreation therapy, and dietitians). Report monthly progress to DON and supervise and oversee MDS process in doing care plan compliance Customer Service: respect, flexibility, knowledge, confidence, professionalism, pleasant attitude, patience and helpfulness. All responses should be timely, professional, caring, and respectful in accordance with Customer Service Performance expectations Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Assesses gaps in policies and procedures and create necessary policies and procedures to fulfill these gaps. Understands and adheres to the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct. Familiar with the Medical Center’s Mission, Vision, and Values Statements. Other Duties: Maintains connection with the DOH's MDS automation coordinator. Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization. Position Qualifications: Five years or more as an MDS Coordinator. Meets regulatory requirements for MDS Prospective Payment System. Deep understanding of PDPM reimbursement model and CMS guidelines Computer literate. Good written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position. Prior management or supervisory experienced preferred Education: BSN Required, Master's degree preferred. MDS and PPS training required. WE ARE NEEDING LIVE IN CAREGIVERS TO JOIN OUR TEAM!! WE HAVE MANY OPEN SHIFTS AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT WESTCHESTER COUNTY AND THE BRONX! (please make sure to read the requirements of the position) We are seeking compassionate and dedicated certified HHAs, PCAs and CNAs to join our team at Right at Home Westchester in White Plains, New York. Live In Caregiver Requirements: Current HHA PCA or CNA certificate from NY (required) 18+ years of age 2 valid forms of identification Current physical with lab work to include medical physical, lab work (titers), PPD and D/S (performed within the last year)- REQUIRED for interview Covid Vaccinated (preferred) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to caregiving Live In Caregiver Benefits: What We Offer Competitive live-in rates: -$255.45/day for a 3-day live-in -$280/day for a 4-day live-in Direct deposit and WEEKLY pay Flexible schedules (many available shifts) Opportunities for professional growth and development Discounts at many retailers Caregiver referral bonuses 401k and health benefits available after 1 year of employment Live In Caregiver Responsibilities (to include but not limited to): Provide high-quality care and assistance to clients in their homes.
