Patients receiving vasoactive and/or anti-arrhythmic medications requiring cardiac monitoring can be accommodated; if such medications require titration, patients will be moved to a higher level of care. Clinical specialties include, but are not limited to general medical, pulmonary, geriatrics, oncology, palliative care, and end-of-life care. The unit provides inpatient oncology nursing care specializing in chemotherapy administration, central access devices, complex post-operative nursing care, infusion services, and the management of immunosuppressed patients. There are 6 negative pressure rooms for patients requiring airborne isolation. Total capacity is 48 private rooms. Description Kindred Hospital Dayton and Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) is a 97-bed hospital. With 51 long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) beds, we offer the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. Our 46-bed behavioral health unit offers treatment for adults ages 18+, including dedicated services for geriatric patients. The unit offers 24-hour supervised psychiatric treatment and crisis support for mental health issues and like the LTACH, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. We are located downtown Dayton near the I-75 and I-35 junction, to the west of the Great Miami River. Job Summary Provides basic nursing care support to patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The application window is anticipated to close within 30 days of the date of the posting. Caregivers provide direct care to residents, recognize individual needs, encourage independence and treat each senior with respect and dignity. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming and other personal care needs, as well as help residents with vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping and dishes. Engage residents in meaningful conversations and provide attentive care. Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
