Duties Description The RN 1 serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team performing various nursing duties, including coordinating and monitoring all aspects of medical care for residents. Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Provide direct nursing care to residents, including comprehensive nursing assessments, administering medications, implementing physician’s treatment orders, transcribing orders, and collecting specimens for laboratory analysis or culture. Provide health education to residents, their guardians and staff and participate in interdisciplinary support plan meetings. Acts as a liaison to community providers to ensure continuity of care, follow up with community providers, when necessary, advocate for resident’s needs. Participate in discharge planning by securing community appointments to ensure continuity of care. Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed reports electronically using Excel and or Word.
