Prepare patient for or assist with examinations and treatments. Maintain charts and other records of patient conditions and/or administered treatment. Educate and counsel patients regarding their health, medications, and treatment goals and procedures, as appropriate. Monitor supply inventories, and complete requisition forms to ensure adequate supply levels. As necessary, observe and supervise the activities of unlicensed direct care staff, including the administration of medication, to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and report observations to higher-level staff. Education / Certification: Currently registered in New York State or has possession of a valid permit to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Experience: Previous long-term experience in LPN role is preferable. Good investigative skills. Ability to write, educate, and work independently.
