Overview: Advanced Practice Provider - Vascular Surgery - Piedmont Augusta Piedmont Heart Institute is currently recruiting for a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join the team at our Piedmont Augusta Hospital. This position will support the In-patient Vascular Service and includes both inpatient rounding and first assisting in the OR. Some occasional crossover may be required in the clinic setting. Explains necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedure(s) to the patient, patients family, and staff. d. Monitors progress of patients, reports progress to supervising physician, and maintains record of each patients progress, consulting with supervising physician when patients progress does not meet anticipated and/or predetermined criteria. e. This autonomous Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for Vascular inpatient, as well as Clinic coverage, and will assist in the OR as needed. Summary GENERAL SUMMARY Engages in activities constituting the practice of medicine in collaboration with and under the medical direction, clinical guidance and supervision of a licensed physician.
