Your Role on the Team The position of Nurse Practitioner I in the Department of Neurology, requires a highly competent, independent yet team-oriented individual who will be immersed in Neurology’s Cerebrovascular and Neuro-Hospitalist Division. Under the supervision of an Attending Faculty and guided by the applicable policies and procedures, the Nurse Practitioner will participate in the comprehensive care of patients in the ambulatory or inpatient settings and provide multi-disciplinary care coordination, treatment, education, monitoring, and communication with patients and referring physicians. A Nurse Practitioner is an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) who possesses the advanced education, knowledge, clinical skills and experience necessary to provide advanced nursing care in their area of specialization. The APP will be seeing a population of patients afflicted with in a fast paced outpatient clinical environment. In addition, the APP will also work with the family of the patient to ensure that aftercare will be appropriate. The location will be for Irvine Hospital site.
