Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Inpatient Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team. The APP will work collaboratively with pediatric hematologists, oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to children and adolescents with hematologic and oncologic conditions. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Assesses health status and obtains health/medical history and physical examination. Performs/orders preventive and diagnostic procedures such as bone marrow biopsy, etc., identifying health and medical risk factors. Diagnosis, utilizing critical thinking in the diagnostic process, synthesizing/analyzing collected data, and formulating a differential diagnosis based on the history, physical exam, and diagnostic test results. Establishes priorities to meet the health and medical needs of the individual, family, or community. Develops a treatment plan, orders and interprets additional diagnostic tests. Prescribes/orders appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. Develops patient education plans. Recommends consultation/referrals as appropriate. Implements plans for interventions based upon established priorities. Maintains a process for systematic follow-up and evaluation of the patient status by determining the effectiveness of the treatment plan with documentation of patient care outcomes. Reassesses and modifies plans with the patient and family as necessary to achieve health and medical goals; provides the patient/family counseling regarding health maintenance, promotion, illness/disease management, and medication use and connect patients with appropriate resources for follow-up care. Uses results of the evaluation to make or recommend the process, policy, procedure, or protocol revisions when warranted. Utilizes evidence-based decision-making in clinical practice. Serves as a team member in the communication and collaboration of care with the patient and family and other health care disciplines. Serves as an integral member of the healthcare team, achieving value-based care objectives measured by patients’ healthcare outcomes and quality metrics. Demonstrates dignity and respect for patient and family for patient and family knowledge, values, beliefs, and cultural background in the planning and delivery of care. Encourages patient and family participation in care and decision-making at the level they choose. Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Pediatric General Surgeon, board-certified/board-eligible in Pediatric Surgery , to work at an established hospital in Metropolitan Atlanta, GA. Wellstar started expanding pediatric services ten years ago beyond ambulatory pediatrics and NICU and has built an extensive network of over 80 employed pediatricians, multiple pediatric subspecialities, a large pediatric ER volume of >100,000 pediatric patients per year, and over 14,000 newborn deliveries annually. This network of patients within the system supports the creation of a Pediatric Surgery program at Wellstar to provide excellent care to patients and families close to home and internal to the system. The incoming candidate can expect a schedule that would allow for 2 half days per week in the clinic in addition to elective and emergent surgeries. Candidate would likely be responsible for 7 days a month of call coverage with no trauma or ECMO responsibilities. Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Seeking NP or PA to join our Pediatric orthopedic team. This role will function at SLCH in both inpatient and ambulatory settings, Monday - Friday. Will treat pediatric trauma patients by assisting in daily rounds, coordination of care, discharge planning, etc. Outpatient duties include time in orthopedic trauma clinic as well as performing sedated reductions.
