Acute Care certification preferred; successful candidate may obtain within 1-2 years of employment. Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure. Minimum five (5) years of professional nursing experience. Two-three years (2-3) of APP Oncology experience strongly preferred; one year (1) or APP experience required. Successful completion of an APRN or PA educational program recognized by the State of Vermont: PA: Completion of an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) approved program (prior to January 2001 – Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs). Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required. NP: Completion of a master's, post-master's, or doctorate from a nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Current certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or an equivalent body is required.
